니모닉은 비트코인 개발자들이 처음 제안한 것으로 무작위로 생선된 16진수 엔트로피 코드를 최종적으로 사람이 알아볼 수 있는 단어로 치환한 것입니다. 말이 조금 어렵나요? 그러나 하나씩 살펴보면 꽤 재밌을 수 있습니다!

니모닉 문구 생성 방법

니모닉 문구는 총 5단계를 거쳐 생성됩니다. 가장 먼저 1) 엔트로피 코드 생성입니다. 엔트로피 코드는 무작위로 생성된 코드로 다음과 같은 형태를 띄고 있습니다. 제대로 알아보기 쉽지 않은 상당히 복잡해 보이는 데이터죠.

다음 단계에서는 이를 바이너리 2진수로 변환하는 과정을 거칩니다. 이 때, 엔트로피 1글자가 4자리 2진수로 변환되어 총 256비트의 바이너리 형태로 전환됩니다.

바이너리 전환 후에는 3) 체크섬을 추가합니다. 체크섬이란 중복 검사의 한 형태로, 데이터의 무결성을 보호하는 방법입니다. 다음과 같이 8자리 바이너리 데이터를 2진수 바이너리 코드 뒷 부분에 추가하게 됩니다.
